I'm always pleasantly surprised when a movie I was expecting to be a different genre takes a decidedly Horror turn. This is where the pleasant surprises end for Armed Response.

You know what I hate? When the shrill elongated beep that's supposed to cause the characters immense pain, actually causes pain to the audience. Well, Armed Response has that in spades. Seriously, have we not yet reached a place in filmmaking where we can indicate an intense noise other than that some bloody headache-inducing, ear-splitting 'EEEEEEEEEEEEE' they all use? Makes me want to turn off the movie immediately. Well, with Armed Response, I probably would have been better served if I had done just that.

What a ridiculous 93 minutes that was.

_Final rating:★½: - Boring/disappointing. Avoid where possible._

Woeful.

'Armed Response' is, simply, a total mess. The entire plot makes little to no sense, while the casting, cinematography and dialogue are just as bad. Some of the effects are OK-ish and there are two decent deaths. Otherwise, it all makes for an insufferable 93 minutes.

They attempt to mesh horror and thriller vibes but it just doesn't work, I didn't feel thrilled once and the horror is set up so poorly; despite a couple of alright ideas for the latter. Wesley Snipes is the all-star name attached to this, yet is bemusingly put into a back-up role behind Dave Annable. Why would you not utilise Snipes as your lead?

WWE Studios have done far better. It only avoids the lowest rating from me due to there, somehow, being worse films out there.
