Patrick Melly

During the 1970's, Patrick Melly worked on civil rights documentaries, made his own award-winning short films, and entered the Masters of Fine Arts program at UCLA's film school. During the '80's into the '90's, Melly gaffed hundreds of music videos and a handful of feature films. During the '90's into the '00's, Melly gaffed hundreds of commercials. In 2000, Patrick Melly received a Best Cinematography Award from the FantasPorto film festival for the black & white feature "Night Train". Melly retired from the film business in 2013. Education: Master of Fine Arts, UCLA Film School, 1988 (School of Theater, Film, and Television); undergraduate study as an English major at UC Santa Barbara 1966-1970; Bachelor of Arts in English awarded by San Francisco State University 1977.
