She obtained a BA in agriculture in 1968, and was known for her artistic collaboration with the late director Youssef Chahine in a number of notable films, namely: Alexandria... Why, The Sparrow, and Adieu Bonaparte. However, during her career she focused on TV series, including Al Helmiya Nights, Back Streets, and Umm Kulthum.
